grooming, caring for orphaned foals, feeding supplements to older horses, working to retrain horses.
Depending on your ability and level of comfort with horses, you will find a good place to spend your
spare time. You can do office work, keep up with picture albums, fundraise, and coordinate booths.

ADOPTIONS
Adoption fees range, but most are about $500. Some horses are companion only, some are ride able.
Each horse has different needs and has a different story. Some need special medicine or supplements,
some are barefoot, some require shoes and special care. Ages from a week old to 40 years old, all
breeds. No stallions, all will be gelded. No breeding of mares. Occasionally miniature horses,
donkeys and mules. Other animals may be available; sheep, goats, pigs, cows. Several dogs in need of
homes always available, all spayed and neutered, all ages.
Foster Homes
Foster homes are always needed for horses, dogs, cats and other farm animals. If you have a space
to help one animal, even for a short time, it may save the animals life while it enriches your life
by making a difference.
Donations
As a non-profit organization, we rely on donations alone to take care of the animals entrusted
to us. No one gets paid a salary, it is all volunteer. 100% of the funds go to the horses care and
needs. Look around your barn, go through your old horse tack. If you no longer use it donate it. If
we can't use it, we'll sell it and use the money for what we do need. You can have a garage sale for
us, how about a car wash, organize a trail ride, motorcycle or bike ride, or set up a booth at a
local event. We will send you brochures and pictures and information to display.
Grant Writing
Volunteer needed to research and write grants for different programs.
We do not have all the answers but would be willing to help you with any questions you have
regarding horses. All questions are important and we are happy to share any information to help
horses. Contact HRRRF.
