Luna
Luna was rescued from the horse slaughter buyer in December. She is about 8 years old and 14 hands. She is sound, healthy, up to date on all vaccines and worming, and looks like she will be an easy keeper. She is barefoot with great feet. She has an old injury that alters her gait slightly, but she is sound at all three gaits and according to the vet should be suitable to trail ride. Luna was apparently a broodmare in her former life and seems to have had very minimal training and handling. She has a very sweet temperament and she is very calm and sensible.
Since she has been with me she has learned to stand quietly for grooming and have her feet done. I have ponied her on the trails and she does great. I have worked with her a little in the round pen. I have ridden her in the ring and even on very short (a few minutes) trail rides. She needs someone who has the time and knowledge to turn her into a riding horse.
She would make a beautiful pasture ornament or a great horse to lead kids around on. With time and patience, I think she'll make a nice trail horse as well. Please call or email if you are interested.

Mingo
Sponsor this Horse Adopt this Horse
Mingo is a 12 year old Pinto gelding. He was just purchased by a college student who planned on trail riding then Mingo was diagnosed with EPM. The student could not afford the treatment and brought him here so we could treat him. We are looking at a good prognosis for Mingo and he may be able to be ridden in the next few months. Mingo could use a foster home or a permanent home if you would like to share your life with this beautiful horse.
Donations appreciated to help pay for Mingo's expensive treatment. Mingo's treatment was over $600. It worked somewhat, but he needs more care. Please help. Thank you.

Red Coat
Sponsored by: Kimberly Lewis of Alpharetta, GA Adopt this Horse
Red Coat is a 4 year old Thoroughbred gelding who came from Monmouth Park. He has 8 bone chips in his right knee from a racing injury. He walks and runs sound. It will take time to see if he will ever be riding sound. If we didn't make space for him, he would have been sent to slaughter along with many thoroughbreds who are not winnings in the race game. He is extremely handsome with wonderful conformation. He needs a foster or permanent home.

Temporary care is always needed for horses especially for the upcoming winter season. Some horses have
special needs, some just need a pasture. If you can help, please let us know.
